Australian Boulder Opal Ring in Sterling Silver. 1" + 7g *Video*

For sale is an Australian boulder opal ring in sterling silver. This opal is exceptionally large with a particularly gorgeous play of colors. The opal was mined in the Koroit opal fields in Queensland, Australia. Each Koroit opal is characterized by a unique and intricate web of colorful veins that run through its matrix.

This opal is a large uneven rectangle, with chocolate brown and black matrix (or boulder). The brown matrix is richly veined with glittering purple and lavender streaks of opalescence. Towards the center top of the opal there are several pools of opalescence with dazzling sky blue, lavender and purple iridescence. The opal is quite stunning in the sunlight and more subtle in dim light. The opal is secure in a hand-crafted silver claw prong setting.

The ring has a simple half-round silver band. This ring can be sized down or up by your jeweler. It would also be a simple job for your jeweler to transform it into a pendant if you prefer.  Stunning for either a woman or a man. This type and size of opal is simply not being mined or sold anymore!
