Australian Black Andamooka Boulder Opal Pendant. 925 Large 1" **VIDEO**

For sale is an Australian Andamooka Boulder Opal pendant in Sterling Silver.  This opal was mined in the Andamooka opal fields in South Australia (near the Coober Pedy and Mintabie opal fields).   The opal is an exceptionally large domed oval.  It is composed of mottled brown matrix/boulder that flashes with vibrant opalescent fire in every color of the rainbow.  The opalescence seems to come from everywhere and nowhere in this type of opal - you really need to view the video to see the true beauty of the stone.  In dim light this opal is quite low-key and dull.  However in sunlight or bright indoor light the opal becomes something magical.  As you move it in the light the stone flashes with fire-y colors, shifting in a heartbeat from fire red and peacock blue to deep purple to neon green.  It is truly enchanting to observe this opal in the sunlight.  The opal is securely prong-set and framed in silver with pyrope edging (twisted rope design).  The back of the opal is visible in the mounting.  The pendant has an articulated bail to accommodate your chain.  This opal pendant would be wonderful for either a man or woman to wear.
