For sale is a pair of 18k yellow gold garnet drop earrings.  These antique Victorian era earrings are simply stunning.  Each earring features a ruby red garnet "baton" that dangles below a round bezel set garnet.  The garnets are deep burgundy red with mesmerizing translucence.  The garnets are in good condition without scratches or chips.  The garnet batons are set in gold mountings that are carved to resemble the curving petals of a bell-flower.  The round garnets are edged in delicate milgrain.  The earrings are suspended from shepherd's hooks that have a special safety clasp.  You pull a tiny hinged triangular gold clasp up over the end of the shepherd's hook, which prevents the earring from accidentally falling out of your ear.  These earrings are dazzling, glamorous, and made with the highest quality.  They would look spectacular with a festive gown in black or wine velvet.

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
