For sale is an antique 18k yellow gold ring with a 2 carat natural midnight blue star sapphire. The sapphire is a deep shade of midnight or navy blue and displays a small 6-ray star in sunlight. In normal light the sapphire displays a glowing asterism. The domed oval sapphire is secure in a hand-crafted bezel setting, edged in gold with a twisted rope design. The back of the sapphire is visible from inside the ring. The ring is an antique dating from the Victorian era. This ring is a true classic. Sapphires are an extremely durable gemstone, second only to diamonds. Because of the strength of this gemstone, you can safely wear it every day.
