18k Gold + 925 Australian Boulder Opal OOAK Artisan Pendant *Video* (NS)

For sale is an artisan crafted sterling silver and 18k yellow gold pendant with an Australian boulder opal. Part of the Sea Green Mermaid Reimagined Vintage Collection, we made this pendant and its twin from a pair of earrings.  The pendant features a large oval opal that hangs east-west.

The semi-translucent opal displays splashes of vibrant color as you move it in the light. You will see yellow, cherry red, orange, lime green, blue and purple fire in the sunlight. You will see chocolate brown boulder at the bottom of the pendant. The opal is secure in a hand-crafted bezel setting and set inside a silver oval frame.

The frame is accented with five solid 18k yellow gold disks and flowers that are soldered at the top and sides of the opal. The gold disks are engraved with swirling and sunburst designs. The silver frame is also engraved with designs that resemble prickly pear cacti to my eye.

The pendant has a large attached bail to accommodate your chain. This unusual, large medallion would be stunning worn by either a man or a woman.

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
