14k Gold Antique Crane Water Bird Pendant. 1.25"

For sale is a 14k gold pendant with a water scene scene.  This antique pendant began as a single screw-back earring, and we transformed it into this beautiful pendant.  The pendant is hinged, with a large oval dangling beneath a curved gold piece decorated with a fringe of gold Bali beads.  The thick oval pendant is matte gold with an elaborate nature scene of raised gold.

The water bird, possibly a crane, stands with one leg raised at the center of a pool of water.  Her body is made from raised gold. She raises her pointed, open beak up the sky, hoping to catch some passing flies.  Her legs and feathers are intricately textured. Long, curving cattails, lily pads and rushes provide a lovely background.  The water plants are made from raised gold.  The bird stands in a pool of white gold water that is engraved with concentric circles that ripple out from her skinny leg. 

The pendant has an attached bail to accommodate your chain.  This antique piece is unusual, intricate, and beautifully crafted!
