14k Yellow Gold Steampunk Artisan Pendant w Fire Agate. 2.2"

There is a lot of gold and a lot to love in this extraordinary hand-crafted artisan pendant. The design has a wonderfully steampunk feel, bringing together gemstones, luminous shell, articulated elements, and substantial 14k yellow gold in an imaginative one-of-a-kind composition.

At the bottom hangs a beautiful cabochon fire agate capped in thick 14k yellow gold. Move the stone through the light and wonderful flashes of neon green, purple and lavender fire emerge from its rich brown depths. The swirling patterns and shifting colors make the stone fascinating from every angle.

A small pink tourmaline cabochon adds a vivid pop of color near the top of the pendant. It is securely held in a hand-crafted gold bezel setting and makes a lovely counterpoint to the earthy fire agate below.

Perhaps the most unusual element is the large U-shaped piece carved from luminous white shell or mother of pearl. Its softly glowing surface provides a striking contrast with the yellow gold, and all three ends are securely enclosed in substantial 14k gold caps. The various components are joined with bars and geometric gold elements that give the pendant its marvelous mechanical, almost architectural character.

Even the bail is interesting: it swivels around the upper gold bar, adding movement to the design.
