For sale is a 14k yellow gold religious medal with Saint Lazarus and the dogs.  The tiny pendant is painted brightly in enamel.  The saint is depicted with the dogs who famously licked his wounds in the Bible story.  Behind him is a church and the rays of sun streaming down.  In the biblical story (in Luke), Lazarus is a beggar who is turned away by the rich, while the stray dogs have compassion and lick his wounds.  This image is framed in gold with a lovely scalloped pattern. The reverse side bears the words "San Lazaro" in bold black font on a back background.  This side has a simple gold frame with no design.  This pendant is lovely, and is also a good investment as these medals are popular collectibles that will grow in value over time.  

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
