For sale is a pair of 14k rose gold and platinum earrings. These antique and very rare earrings come from the Egyptian Revival period of the Art Deco era, when insects and bugs were popular jewelry design subjects. Each earring is a thick disc of solid 14k rose gold with the insect in raised platinum at the center. One earring features of lady bug (missing the lower part of her left rear leg). The other features a delicate flying insect with two sets of wings.
You will never see another pair of earrings like these again! They are large enough to be noticed and can be worn beautifully with your sterling, platinum, and gold jewelry. Truly classic!
The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
