For sale is a pair of 14k yellow gold natural star sapphire / ruby earrings. (A star ruby is simply another name for a red star sapphire!) Each earring is set with an opaque star ruby with a wonderful deep, velvety red-purple color, like boysenberry.
Each ruby displays a beautiful six rayed star in sunlight or bright light. In dim light the rubies have a lovely glow. The gemstones have many natural inclusions and imperfections, such as variegated colors in the stone, but no damage, cracks or chips.
Each ruby is secure in a hand-crafted gold bezel setting. The earrings are posts that fasten securely with 18k butterfly backs.
