14k Yellow Gold Monk Friar Shield Pendant. Blackened Gold

For sale is a 14k yellow gold shield pendant. The pendant features a monk or friar wearing a hooded cloak, standing with arms outstretched and a bible, hymnal, or other religious text in one hand. He appears to be welcoming others to come listen. Designed by the respected American jewelry manufacturer OC Tanner (in business in Utah for over 90 years), this pendant is well crafted and "minty" (in fabulous condition!). The monk's outline is gold, while his robe is painted with black enamel for great contrast. The background is "blackened gold," gold carbonized to produce a rough texture. The back of the pendant is solid polished yellow gold. The pendant has an articulated bail to accommodate your chain.
