For sale is a fabulous and hard-to-find solid 14k yellow gold sun pendant by beloved American designer James Avery. This is a wonderful example of Avery’s distinctive artisan style—and an especially exciting find because this popular design is no longer available on the James Avery website.

The pendant depicts a wonderfully exuberant sun surrounded by a halo of long, curving rays. Each ray has its own slightly irregular, wavy shape, giving the sun a lively, almost dancing quality.

Rather than lying flat, the center of the sun has a gently domed, three-dimensional shape. The gold has a beautiful hammered texture that catches the light while giving the piece the hand-crafted character for which James Avery jewelry is so loved.

The pendant has a wonderfully organic, sculptural quality—simple enough for everyday wear but distinctive enough to make a statement. The warm yellow gold and playful rays make this a particularly lovely piece for summer, although we think a little sunshine is welcome year-round!
