14k Gold Gray Lavender Star Sapphire Antique Filigree Pendant *Video* A

For sale is a 14k yellow gold pendant with a natural gray star sapphire.  This antique pendant was reimagined from a pair of Victorian screw-back earrings, and we have two similar pendants available.  This pendant combines the quality and elegance of an antique piece with the ethereal magic of a star sapphire.  Gray star sapphires are perhaps my favorite gemstone (after diamonds) for beauty, durability and versatility.  A gray star sapphire goes with everything, is incredibly resilient (tough to break) and, in sunlight, breathtakingly beautiful.   Plus, star sapphires are second only to opals for otherworldly magic!  

The pendant features an oval cabochon sapphire in a delicate shade of pale silvery dove gray.  The sapphire has a wonderful ethereal glow in dim light, and displays a lovely six-rayed star in sunlight or bright artificial light.  The sapphire has natural inclusions but no chips, breaks or cracks.  The sapphire is bezel set and framed with elegant, intricate filigree gold.  The pendant has a large attached bail to accommodate your chain.   This large, elegant pendant will become an immediate heirloom in your family.  It would be so elegant worn with a string of pearls, or with ever-classic diamonds (of course :)
