14k Yellow Gold Geometric 3-D MCM Modernist Ring. 0.8" Wide

This amazing designer Mid-Century Modern ring is a miniature piece of architectural sculpture, with a fabulous interplay of geometric shapes, textures, and heights.

The dramatic openwork design is composed of a series of overlapping rectangular gold forms, arranged at different angles and on different levels. Some surfaces are polished smooth, while others have a finely ridged, coin-edge texture. The rectangles rise and fall across the top of the ring, creating wonderful depth and a distinctly three-dimensional effect.

We especially love the way the open spaces become part of the design. Light passes through the geometric framework, emphasizing the sharp angles and giving this substantial ring an unexpectedly airy quality.

The ring has a wide band with coin-edge texturing that continues most of the way around the finger, beautifully complementing the textured details on top. At the very back, the band transitions to polished smooth gold for a clean finish.

This is intentionally a high-profile design, standing approximately 4mm above the finger. It looks completely different depending on the angle from which you view it—exactly what we want from a great piece of Modernist jewelry.
