For sale is a 14k yellow gold necklace with malachite gemstones.  This necklace is a well-crafted antique from the Arts & Crafts era in the late 19C, and is sometimes called a bib or festoon necklace.  The necklace features round cabochons of malachite that are bezel-set, completely framed in gold.  The malachite gemstones are also framed by a halo of gold with a target design.  The malachite gemstones are set at even intervals along the necklace.  The front of the necklace features a larger malachite gemstone.  The gemstones on either side of this central piece are connected by a chain, giving the necklace it's bib or festoon design.  This is a lovely antique necklace with a wonderful large presence due to its unusual bib design and lovely green color.  

***This is an antique piece and shows some wear both to the gold and stones (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)   The central malachite gemstone has some surface cracks (see magnified photo,) but the stone is secure in its setting and in no danger of breaking.
