14k Yellow Gold Carved Panda Bear Netsuke Pendant. Japan Antique

For sale is a 14k yellow gold carved panda bear pendant.  I fell in love with this chubby bear as soon as I saw it. The little bear is as round as a ball, carved from fine-grain wood and stained black in places. Netsuke have been hand-carved by Japanese artisans since in the 17th century.

The bear has a sweet innocence and vulnerability that is completely charming. She seems to be looking up at you. The bear is carved in all dimensions. She has sweet facial features and ears, textured fur and dimensional arms, legs and paws. The pendant is suspended from a 14k gold bail to accommodate your chain.

Rice pearls and onyx beads dangle from four short chains beneath the panda's body. This is such an unusual antique pendant. This sweet panda bear will keep you company wherever you go!

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
