For sale is a 14k yellow gold cameo representing the famous "three graces" from Greek mythology. This large, classic cameo is carved with great care and detail. The three sisters are daughters of Zeus, and each has a special gift to bestow upon humanity: mirth (humor), elegance, and youth/beauty.
The sisters are portrayed full-body in profile. Two of the sisters hold a garland of flowers above the third sister, who stands between them. All three sisters are carved with elegant detail, including swirling, translucent robes and elegant updos. Their arms, legs and delicately arched feet are beautifully carved. The cameo is secure in the gold frame and has an articulated bail to accommodate your chain.
