For sale is a 14k yellow gold natural star sapphire / ruby pendant. This is a beautifully crafted pendant with a colorful gemstone. (A star ruby is simply another name for a red star sapphire!) The star ruby is opaque with a wonderful deep, velvety red-purple color like boysenberry.
It displays a beautiful six rayed star in sunlight or bright light. In dim light it has a lovely glow. The gemstone has many natural inclusions and imperfections, such as variegated colors in the stone, but no damage, cracks or chips. Like most star sapphires, the back of the stone has a rough texture and is not polished.
The ruby is secure in a hand-crafted gold bezel setting. The pendant has an articulated bail to accommodate your chain. This is a gorgeous stone in an elegant, beautifully crafted setting.
