For sale is a TINY pair of 14k yellow gold dormeuse earrings with Australian opals. These antique earrings are beautifully crafted and colorful! Each earring features a vibrant oval opal that is secure in a thick gold bezel-setting. The opals are translucent with swirling teal, lime green, peacock blue, lavender and purple fire. The opals are visible from the back side of the earrings. Dormeuse earrings can be tricky to put on!. The ear-wire goes in the back of the ear, and the clasp is on the front. I need to use a magnified mirror to put these on! These small earrings make a big impression with their colorful green, blue and purple fire.
***The earrings are dormeuse style (reverse leverbacks). They fasten by placing the earwire through the back of the ear, and fitting it into a small opening at the front of the ear. This can be tricky for people with arthritis and other conditions! I use a magnified mirror to put them in :)
***The earrings are quite small. If you have larger earlobes they may be too tight. Please look at the photos on a ruler to estimate if they will fit you :)
