For sale is an antique 14k yellow gold pendant with a natural Australian black opal.  The egg-shaped opal is deep black with dramatic contrasting splashes of lime green, cherry red, peacock blue and purple fire. The opal is secure in a hand-crafted prong setting and framed in a gold oval. The back of the opal is visible from the back of the pendant. The opal is set east-west at the bottom of a gold teardrop. 

Part of the Sea Green Mermaid Reimagined Vintage Collection, my jeweler made this pendant for me from a pair of black opal studs I found at an estate sale.  I have two similar pendants available for sale in my store. Each is uniquely beautiful.
