10k Yellow Gold ALASKAN Gold in Quartz Spinner Pendant. 2" + 15g *Video*

For sale is a 10k yellow gold spinning pendant with Alaskan Gold-in-Quartz. This stunning, large, one of a kind pendant was transformed from an antique Victorian brooch.  Gold-in-Quartz, also known as Gold Quartz or Gold bearing quartz is a rare and sought-after gemstone for jewelry makers today.  It consists of white (or gray or black) quartz with veins of pure gold ore running through it. The most valuable gems are those with white or cream quartz and lots of gold veins.  

The quartz in this pendant is a milky shade of white with bright burnished gold veins. The quartz also has internal black and gray areas that are visible beneath the white surface.  It is cut in a flat oval that is polished smooth. The stone has a somewhat rough surface with crackle lines and crevices in the surface. (Please view magnified photos.)

The quartz is bezel set and edged in gold with a twisted rope design. It spins inside a larger gold oval frame that has black enamel on the front, and has gold fleur de lis accents in raised gold at the top and bottom. The back of the gold frame is imperfect and you can see the solder marks and missing gold where the original pin was removed.

The other side of the gold quartz stone features an intricately braided lock of hair under glass. The pendant has an attached bail to accommodate your chain. This stunning pendant could be worn beautifully by either a man or a woman.  

This well-crafted antique gold-in-quartz pendant is not only beautiful, but is actually a wise investment that will only increase in value over time.
