14k Yellow Gold ALASKAN Gold in Quartz Oval Disk Pendant. E-W

 

For sale is a 14k yellow gold pendant with Alaskan Gold-in-Quartz. This pendant is part of our "Reimagined Vintage" collection, and was transformed from a pair of antique cufflinks.  Gold-in-Quartz, also known as Gold Quartz or Gold bearing quartz is a rare and sought-after gemstone for jewelry makers today.  It consists of white (or gray or black) quartz with veins of pure gold ore running through it.  The most valuable gems are those with white or cream quartz and lots of gold veins.  

 

The quartz in this pendant is a milky shade of white with bright burnished 24k gold veins. The quartz also has internal black and gray areas that are visible beneath the white surface.  It is cut in a flat oval that is polished smooth.  The stone has a somewhat rough surface with crackle lines and crevices in the surface.

The quartz is oriented east-west, and is framed in a hand-crafted 14k gold setting.  The stone is backed entirely in solid 14k gold with an attached bail to accommodate your chain.  This classic pendant could be worn beautifully by either a man or a woman.  

This well-crafted gold-in-quartz pendant is not only beautiful, but is actually a wise investment that will only increase in value over time.
