14k Gold Solitaire Diamond Engagement Ring. Classic Antique

For sale is a 14k yellow and white gold solitaire diamond ring. This classic engagement ring features a round-cut natural diamond in a cathedral setting on a square mounting with elegant filigree sides. The diamond is prong set in a recessed setting inside a larger circle of white gold. This setting was popular in engagement rings in the early 20th century because it enhances the appearance of the brilliance and size of the diamond. 

The diamond is eye clear with lovely brilliance. Inclusions are visible upon magnification. Thanks to the cathedral setting, the ring does have a fairly high profile (see photos). This ring looks great with a diamond or plain wedding band. The classic solitaire diamond engagement ring has represented the height of elegance for centuries. It will never, ever go out of style.
