For sale is a 14k yellow gold and silver tribal lantern bead necklace. This unusual necklace was hand-made in New Zealand, inspired by Maori tribal designs. The artist combined 14k gold and carbonized sterling silver to create each beautifully patterned lantern bead.

Each small round bead is solid 14k gold, and the large 10mm lobster clasp is also 14k gold. Each long, tube-like bead is actually made from two nested beads. The outer bead is a solid 14k gold tube with cut-out designs that allow you see the darker sterling silver bead within.

The effect is wonderful, with a stark contrast between the burnished gold and the patina of the silver. The necklace is sturdy, heavy, and beautifully crafted. This elegant chain can be worn alone as a statement or combined with other silver or gold chains and pendants for a layered look.
