10k Gold Etched Medallion Disk Pendant w Cabochon Garnet. 1.25" *Video*

For sale is an antique 10k yellow gold engraved disk pendant with a cabochon garnet and seed pearls. This elegant antique pendant is similar to a mandala, a large flat disk of gold with intricate engraved designs in co-centric circles. The outermost edge of the disk has a crimped or coin-edge design.

This pendant may have been transformed from an antique brooch or scarf pin because there are some solder marks visible on the back side. The disk is set with a cabochon red garnet at the center, surrounded by a halo of small round seed pearls. The garnet appears dark in dim light, and shows some translucent ruby red in bright light. There is a scraped area on the surface of the garnet (I have circled the scrape in magnified photos.)

The medallion has a large articulated bail to accommodate your chain. This pendant is beautiful both worn at the neckline, and on a longer chain. It can be worn with casual outfits and is also beautiful to accent formal wear.
