14k Gold Blue Star Sapphire Ring w Rose-Cut Diamonds *Video*

For sale is a 10k Art Deco yellow gold ring with a blue star sapphire gemstone and diamond accents. The star sapphire is a round cabochon, natural and untreated. It has wonderful translucence and is a subtle and delightful shade of periwinkle or lavender blue, depending on the light.  This is technically a blue star sapphire, although the color is as lavender as blue. The sapphire displays a lovely six rayed star in sunlight or bright artificial light and a glowing asterism is visible in dim light. The stone has many natural inclusions, with tan spots and lines on visible in the interior. One larger natural inclusion is a tan line that curves just under the center of the sapphire. There is no external damage, cracks, or chips.

The sapphire is set on a particularly beautiful and well-crafted cathedral mounting in the Art Deco style. It is flanked by tiny sparkly rose-cut diamonds. The natural diamonds are eye-clear and brilliant. Each diamond is set in white gold to enhance its sparkle. They are prong-set in recessed settings, flush with the surface of the gold. The ring has a simple half round band in back. This is a small ring with lovely color and a hint of sparkle. It would make a stunning engagement ring paired with a diamond band. It can also be worn as an elegant right hand ring.
