For sale is a 14k yellow gold antique carved intaglio pendant.  This Italian-made antique is truly stunning.  The clear, flat circle has been expertly and deeply reverse-carved with the intricately detailed sun face at the center of a halo of curving sun rays.

The rounded facial features of the sun are beautifully detailed in three dimensions, with rounded cheeks, expressive eyes, full lips, and a cleft chin. The edges of the intaglio are beautifully faceted, casting reflected light in a prism effect. The crystal is framed in gold, and a graceful 14k gold seashell decorates the top of the pendant. A sturdy articulated bail will accommodate your chain.

We have never seen a similar pendant in many years of dealing in antique jewelry! This unusual pendant is simple and elegant worn alone, and can also be layered with other antique or celestial pendants.
