For sale is a 14k yellow gold onyx pendant with Australian opal. Part of the Sea Green Mermaid Reimagined Vintage Collection, we had our jeweler transform a pair of Mid Century Modern screwback earrings into lovely pendants so they could be worn and enjoyed (we have two similar pendants for sale). The pendant is a round disk of black onyx that is slightly domed on each side. A small, curved piece of Australian opal is inlaid in the right side of the pendant and framed in 14k yellow gold.
The opal is semi-translucent and flashes with blue and green fire. In bright light you will also see splashes of cherry red and orange fire. The flashing opal and deep black onyx create a mesmerizing contrast. The pendant has a large attached bail to accommodate your chain. This pendant is unusual and simply stunning. It is gorgeous worn with other onyx and opal jewelry.
