14k Gold Australian Opal Crescent MOON in Onyx Disk Pendant. 1"

For sale is a 14k yellow gold onyx lozenge pendant with Australian opal. Part of the Sea Green Mermaid Reimagined Vintage Collection, we had our jeweler transform onyx and opal disks from a broken Tiffany necklace into pendants (we have two similar pendants for sale). The pendant is a round disk of black onyx that is slightly domed on each side. A small, curved piece of Australian opal is inlaid in the right side of the pendant and framed in 14k yellow gold.   The effect is like a glowing blue crescent moon in a dark black sky!

The opal is semi-translucent and flashes with lime green, royal blue and purple fire. The flashing opal and deep black onyx create a dramatic contrast.  The opal is topped with a layer of clear quartz that has some crackle lines, and the onyx has some surface scratches (please view magnified photos.)  The pendant has a large attached bail to accommodate your chain. This pendant is unusual and simply stunning. It is gorgeous worn with other onyx and opal jewelry.
