14k Gold Antique Alaskan Gold-In-Quartz Engraved Buckle Pendant. 1.5"

For sale is an antique 14k yellow gold buckle pendant with Alaskan Gold-in-Quartz. Part of our Reimagined Vintage Collection, our jeweler transformed this piece from a brooch to a pendant so it could be worn and enjoyed. Gold-in-Quartz, also known as Gold Quartz or Gold bearing quartz is a rare and sought-after gemstone for jewelry makers today. 

It consists of white (or gray or black) quartz with veins of pure gold ore running through it.  The most valuable gems are those with white or cream quartz and lots of gold veins.  This quartz is a creamy shade of white with bright burnished 24k gold veins.

The square quartz gemstone is secure in a hand-crafted bezel setting. The quartz has a rough, nugget-like surface with crackles and imperfections. The back of the quartz is visible from the back of the pendant. The quartz is set at the center of a rectangle of solid gold that is engraved with elegant leaf patterns.

The pendant has two bails, one on each corner of the top of the rectangle.  The gold on this pendant has a wonderful, rich, burnished look. The pendant could be worn beautifully by either a man or a woman.  

This well-crafted, antique gold-in-quartz pendant is not only beautiful, but is actually a wise investment that will only increase in value over time.
