14k Gold 3 Elephant Gods Pendant. Brahma Vishnu. TINY!

For sale is a tiny 14k yellow gold pendant with three elephants representing the major Hindu gods. Part of the Sea Green Mermaid Reimagined Vintage Collection, we upcycled this pendant from a pin so it could be worn and enjoyed. This teeny tiny pendant features three elephants depicted in intricate detail. One faces forward, the others face each side. The elephants have been expertly carved with care to every detail: their domed egg-shaped heads, curving tusks, eye folds, and gently angled trunks are all beautifully rendered. The elephants wear elegant head pieces that are represented in raised gold. 

The three headed elephant is of Buddhist/Hindu origin (Airavata or Erawan). The three heads represent three of the major Buddhist/Hindu gods: Brahma (the Creator), Vishnu (the Keeper), and Mahesh (the Destroyer). The symbol has also been used in the flag of the Kingdom of Laos, representing each of the former small kingdoms in Laos (Vientiane, Luang Prabang, and Xieng Khouang).
