10k Yellow + Rose + White Gold Onyx Victorian Cameo Ring. 1" RARE

For sale is a 10k gold and onyx Victorian cameo ring. We've never seen a carved gold cameo on a stone like this one! It combines the highest quality with all the characteristic flourishes of the Victorian era. The base of the ring is a large, rectangular piece of black onyx. Sitting on top of the onyx is a cameo depicting the face of a noblewoman or royal. Her face is rendered in three colors of gold. The delicate features of her face are white gold, her upswept hair is yellow gold, and her elegant gown is rose gold. Her hair is crafted with exceptional skill. The crimped waves and coiled bun are intricately detailed.  Her elegant chandelier earring dangles to her shoulder. The filigree lace of her upstanding collar and the beautiful brooch at her neck are carved in fine detail.

The onyx is held firmly in place by wide claw prongs in six places. The gold cameo is secured by two pins that fasten to the gold frame behind the onyx. The tops of the ring's shoulders are etched with an elaborate and intricate pattern.

This is a stunning, one of a kind ring that makes a large statement. The ring is substantial, but not heavy on the finger and is comfortable to wear. It can be worn wonderfully by a woman or man. It combines amazingly well with other Victorian era rings in garnet, cameo, pearl, etc.
