For sale is a 10k yellow gold "honeymoon" pendant; a crescent moon decorated with a garland of tiny pearls.  These pendants were popular during the Romantic Period during the Victorian era.  A groom would make a gift of the pin or pendant to his bride on their honeymoon.  The pendant was considered a romantic play on words:  flowers represent the word "honey" and the crescent moon symbolized the word "moon."  Together, they make "honeymoon"!  This pendant features a crescent moon that is draped with an elegant garland of leaves with a tiny pearl star-shaped flower at the end.  Each leaf and flower is set with a teeny tiny round cream colored natural pearl.  The pearls glow with a lovely sheen and have intact, undamaged nacre.  This pendant has a slide-style bail hidden in back to accommodate your chain. The pendant would look lovely with pearl or diamond earrings.

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
