10k Yellow Gold Reverse Carved BUBBLE 1940s Tourist Souvenir China Ring_b110_20

For sale is a 10k yellow gold ring with a reverse carved Rickshaw image.  This collector's item was purchased as a souvenir by a tourist to China in the 1940s.  The ring is a beautifully crafted signet style ring with a reverse carved image of a man pulling a rickshaw.  This "bubble ring" features a large domed glass cabochon that is carved and painted with the image, which is then placed on top of a piece of onyx to create contrast.  The cabochon is secure in a bezel-setting.  The ring has a lovely basket setting, and elaborately scrolled shoulders.  The ring is a small size (4.5) and can be resized by your jeweler at a reasonable cost.

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
