For sale is a purple star sapphire set in a 10k yellow gold signet ring.

This is a wonderfully bold and beautifully crafted 10k yellow gold signet-style ring set with a natural star ruby—a striking mid-century piece with presence, personality, and fabulous weight in the hand.

The ruby is a rich purple-red shade, opaque with those natural internal inclusions and color variations that make star rubies so intriguing. You’ll notice the naturally occurring surface indentations at roughly 2 o’clock and 7 o’clock—true to the character of an untreated stone and part of its charm.

The ring itself is exceptional: a wide, sturdy signet band with a flat rectangular front where the oval ruby sits securely. Two curved gold bands sweep around the stone on either side, giving the ring a sculptural, almost architectural feel. The wide angled shoulders each feature a recessed arrow design—a subtle but striking mid-century detail—before the band tapers comfortably toward the back.
