For sale is a purple star ruby ring in 10k yellow gold. Many people don't realize that star rubies are actually simply red star sapphires! This ruby is deep grape purple, and displays a clear six ray star in the sunlight.
The ruby is opaque with lots of internal inclusions and color variations such as dark speckles and tan marks inside the stone. The stone is intact with no chips or cracks. The round gemstone is secure in a prong setting. The ring has a lovely gold band with filigreed shoulders that tapers towards the back.
This star ruby is quite large and colorful. You will enjoy wearing it, especially in the sunshine when it dazzles with its vibrant star!
