14k Gold MGM LION Pendant w Gypsy-Set Diamonds *RARE*

For sale is a 14k yellow gold pendant with gypsy-set diamonds featuring the MGM lion. Part of the Sea Green Mermaid Reimagined Vintage Collection, this rare piece started life as a tie tack before we transformed it into a pendant so that it could be worn and enjoyed. Created in 1917, the lion in the pendant is the mascot for one of the world's most recognized logos - the Hollywood film studio Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.  

The pendant shows the stylized roaring lion depicted in raised gold with his swirling mane forming a circle around his head. Below are two small natural gypsy-set diamonds. The tie tacks were originally presented as an MGM employee award for 20 years of service. There is an attached bail to accommodate your chain. You will see a small solder mark on the back where we removed the tack. This can be worn beautifully by a man or a woman.
