10k Gold Snake Coiled Around Initial "T" Pendant. Birks-Ellis 1940's. Tiny!

For sale is a 10k yellow gold pendant of a snake wrapped around the initial "T."  Part of the Sea Green Mermaid Reimagined Vintage Collection, we had our jeweler repurpose an antique tie tac into this lovely pendant so it could be worn and enjoyed. This tiny pendant is an antique from the 1940s. It was made by Birks-Ellis, a respected U.S. jewelry maker of the time.

The capital letter T is textured with a hash mark pattern. The snake's head rests on the top of the letter T, a tiny emerald channel-set in the top of her almond-shaped head. Her body, painted with gleaming black enamel, coils twice around the T. The end of her tail just peaks out behind the bottom of the T. This pendant has an attached bail to accommodate your chain. It is fun worn alone or can be layered with other tiny pendants.

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
