10k Gold Repousse Maiden w Laurel Wreath Pendant. Art Deco

For sale is a 10k yellow gold pendant with a repousse maiden with a laurel wreath. We had our jeweler transform an antique cuff link into this pendant so it could be worn and enjoyed. This pendant is beautifully designed and crafted. It is a domed oval with the image of the woman depicted in repousse, or raised gold.

The maiden's facial features are beautifully depicted in intricate and realistic detail. Her face and features are slightly elven, delicate and perfect. She wears a wreath of laurel leaves in her hair, and a long scarf trails down the side of her graceful neck. Her eyes are close and she appears to be breathing in the air of a beautiful mid-summers day.

Perhaps she is part of a May Day celebration, or a Mid-Summer festival? The pendant has a large bail to accommodate your chain. This lovely pendant will look elegant worn by itself, and will also coordinate beautifully with pearl, ruby, diamond, or gold jewelry of the same era.
