For sale is a 10k yellow gold ring with a natural blue star sapphire. This antique ring holds one of the loveliest star sapphires I've seen. The periwinkle color is enchanting and so rare: blue with a touch of purple.
This is a high quality star sapphire with excellent translucence and a fabulous star in bright light. It has natural inclusions that are visible when magnified. The sapphire is secure in a four prong setting. The mounting is sturdy, well-crafted and lovely. The beautiful sapphire is set at the center of a rectangular frame with intricate engravings.
The wide shoulders of the ring taper slightly towards the back. This is an unusually elegant example of Art Deco jewelry at its' best. Photos can't do the stone justice. You will be delighted.
