10k Gold Onyx Victorian Initial Calligraphy "J" Signet Ring. 3/4"

For sale is a 10k yellow gold onyx signet ring. This ring is a beautifully crafted and preserved antique from the Victorian era. The raised gold calligraphic script "J" makes a dramatic contrast to the dark black of the curved onyx background. The complex script is matched by the elaborate engraving on the wide shoulders of the ring. The band of the ring is also wide, though the band itself is thin. This gorgeous ring is substantial, but not heavy on the finger and is comfortable to wear. It can be worn wonderfully by a woman or man. It combines well with other Victorian era rings in garnet, cameo, pearl, etc.

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
