14k Gold Fierce Lion MCM Modern Sunburst Disc Pendant. Leo

For sale is a 14k yellow gold disk pendant with a raised gold lion.  This mid-century modern pendant is unusual and striking.  The pendant is a  flat, round disc of 14k gold with a crimped sunburst design. 

The fierce, angry lion takes center stage in the middle of the pendant.  He is captured in a defensive pose, sitting with all senses alert, his head facing toward the perceived threat behind him.   His muscular legs, lean rib-cage, shaggy mane, and large paws are crafted with great care. 

The lion radiates coiled, restrained strength.   Myriad textured sunrays radiate from the lion's body.  The pendant has an articulated jump ring bail to accommodate your chain.  This small pendant would look elegant worn alone, and can also be layered with other small pendants and chains.  

The item shows normal wear for a pre-owned piece (light scratches, dings, dents and scuff marks.)
