14k Gold FRIARS Celebrity Comedians Club NYC Pendant. Rare!

For sale is a very rare 14k gold pendant commemorating the Friars Club, a private club in New York City. Part of the Sea Green Mermaid Reimagined Vintage Collection, we transformed this pendant from a pin so it could be worn and enjoyed. The pendant features a friar's face, his smirking expression rendered in fine detail. His hood has the word FRIARS written across the front in black enamel.

The pendant has an attached bail to accommodate your chain. It can be worn alone or combined with other small charms. It will make a perfect gift for anyone with a connection to NYC or to show business.

Note: Famous for its risqué anual celebrity roasts, the Friars Club's membership is composed mostly of people who work in show business. Founded in 1904, it is located at 57 East 55th Street, between Park Avenue and Madison Avenue, in the historic Martin Erdmann House, now known as the Monastery. The club has roasted a member every year since the inaugural roasting.  Famous celebrities who were roasted include Jack Benny, Lucille Ball, Don Rickles, Henny Youngman and Phyllis Diller
