For sale is a rare yellow gold filled pendant from the Presidio, a former U.S. military base in San Francisco, California. Part of the Sea Green Mermaid Reimagined Vintage Collection, we created this pendant from a pin. Originally a Spanish military base captured by the Americans in 1846, the Presidio had been in use as a military base for over 200 years when it was decommissioned in 1994 and transferred to the National Park Service.

The pendant is stamped "1/10 10k" which means that 10% of the metal in the pendant is 10k gold.  The other metal in the pendant is a combination of other non-precious metals. The pendant has an attached bail to accommodate your chain. It can be worn alone or combined with other small charms. It will make a perfect gift for anyone with a connection to the base or the park, or to those who appreciate American history.
