For sale is an Australian black opal triplet in a silver Art Nouveau era ring. The opal is a large oval triplet with lots of rich blue, green, and turquoise fire. You will also see cherry red, yellow and orange fire on occasion. A triplet is an opal that is backed in onyx to deepen the color and topped with a layer of clear quartz to protect the surface.
The large, flat, oval opal is bezel-set, completely framed in silver. A band of silver winds around the oval ring like a vine. The shoulders of the ring are decorated with raised silver leaves. This ring combines the lovely color-play of the opal with the beauty of its lovely Art Nouveau design.
