This beautifully crafted Victorian era antique pendant was purchased as a souvenir of the Connemara Marble mines in Ireland. Connemara marble is an extremely rare form of green marble only found in a few districts in Ireland. It is quite rare to find this type of marble set in solid gold, as this pendant is. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe pendant is a flat, round medallion with the clover at the center in raised gold. The clover is made from three heart shaped green marble clover \"leaves\" that are beautifully inlaid in yellow gold with a rosey hue. The shamrock also has a tiny stem. The outer edge of the pendant is engraved with an undulating knot pattern, like twisting rope. \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThe marble is the classic shade of moss green with lighter green variations in color. The surface of the marble is slightly uneven or \"rough\" in places, and there are some \"flea bites\" on the edges of the stone (Please see magnified photos.)
